So now i'm turning into the one not trying/not texting much

So I used to be the one to always return texts and would become super jaded when I felt like someone wasn't putting in the same effort as me. So I took a few months to recharge my dating batteries. And I started trying to date again 2 months ago when I officially turned 30 (woot woot) But ever since I've started dating again I just don't approach it the same. I don't text people back like I used to even those that seem to put in effort. So what i'm asking is if anyone else has experienced anything like this? I want to text these women and enjoy conversations with them but maybe i'm still a little jaded and don't see the point of putting in all this effort.

Anyone have any idea's?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
