Why would she avoid me over this? (18, m f)

Pretty much a girl i really like and i hung out all the time at uni and out, and one day we had a hard test in which i will admit i wasnt ready for, i failed it, but all was fine because i had another shot. Things pretty much went as usual and i was studying and she was helping me and she jokingly said that if i fail again she'll stop talking to me. Well i went to the retake before we had our spring break and was prepared that time and was actually confident i'd pass. And so right before she left for spring break we had a conversation and she basically said she liked me as well and that we will date. She left for spring break, i stayed. Then i get my grade and see that i failed again - in disbelief i asked to see my paper while on my way to the teacher i wrote to the girl and told her that i got a fail and am going to check my paper in hopes of finding mistakes and getting extra points for a pass, we talked a bit and in the end she said even if i go and still get a bad grade we should deal with it because its not ideal, im like ''yeah thats perfect'' and so i went and with my luck i got the teacher that just gives 0 points if you make a single mistake ( e.g. an answer is worth 3 points and so you can answer parts of the question and get 2, 1.5, 1 etc. like other teachers do ) and i found out everyone that took the test with her failed. Well afterwards i send her a voice message saying what happened, she listened to it, but only responded an hour later saying ''well bye my name, thats too much, did you even study?'' i told her i did and tried to explain my situation, but got no response. Hours later i text her ''are you actually gonna stop talking to me? because those last messages scare me'' she reads them and doesnt respond. Text her the next day and still no response. Me being confused and hurt i just went on with our break and waited for her to come back. During the last days i found out she has been texting people i hang out with asking if i was ok and studying. Dont know why she couldnt text me. Our break ends and i try to talk to her but i either get complete avoidance or one word answers. I sent her a voice message asking why would she act like this, and that we should talk and work it out. Sees it and doesnt respond. I am really confused and hurt by this, i have very strong feelings for this girl and really dont want us to start ignoring each other (especially because we sometimes have to work together). If anyone has witnessed this behavior, please help.
