Rebound?

I had a one night stand while in another country and we had a ton of fun. Im 4 months post BU. The guy mentioned he would come visit me back home if I invite him. While that sounds like a lot of fun given the night we had together and how much Id love to recreate it, Im scared to invite him to my city for a weekend.

Ive told all my girlfriends the story and how we are still talking long distance and they all think im crazy for being so hesitant on this opportunity. Im scared of getting attached, of him getting attached. I think Id be ok with FWB but how do I even communicate that to him without scaring him away? Is it even worth it to pursue this if Im still hung up on my ex? Does the fact that we live in different cities give us a boundary for things getting to sticky? It seems like a risky situation, what do u think?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
