My girlfriend likes to be dominated and toyed with. Any tips?

So my partner likes to be dominated during sex. This involves things like tying her up, using toys on her, teasing her, choking, etc. She likes to idea of being my "toy."

Since my previous sex partners have mostly been vanilla, I am really not used to this and I feel kinda clumsy and awkward during these acts. Since she also likes to act defensive and sad, I sometimes have a hard time telling if I'm doing something wrong and she really isn't enjoying it. I've asked afterwards and so far she hasn't said I've done something wrong.

I've also told her to yell out STOP really loud if things are going too far and she isn't enjoying it. So far it hasn't been used.

I guess I want to hear some tips on how to be the dominator and maybe how to boost my confidence during these acts. I want to feel like I'm in control, but so far I am constantly thinking if I'm hurting her too much, is she not enjoying it, etc.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.
