4 year difference makes me feel uncomfortable

So I (m just turned22) really like this girl (f17 but nearly 18) from my scouting group we just started texting a few days back and so far so good even a little bit flirty . But there's a few things that I'd like someone to help me settle my mind on.

So there's the age difference. Even though she's nice and we get along well. I have no reason to feel this way but I feel like I'm being tricked. Like there somehow she goes along with me to then just embarrass me in front of the group. She also has 2 brothers both 20, I know them well and I feel like if they and everyone else finds out and I get rejected as an older guy it would be really embarrassing. I've had bad experiences with pretty nasty people in the past so somehow I always think I'm being set up. It's really hard to trust people or to ignore those feelings.

There's also the difference in life stages, she just leaves high school while I'm in my second year of uni(and should actually be in my 4th)

Tl:Dr as an older guy I'm really anxious about trying to get it work with a younger girl.

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
