If you move in with your boyfriend, how much rent should you pay?

I am a PhD student (30f) I am from South America, and I came to AU with a scholarship. I have a part-time job at uni (I can work max 20 hours per week), and I used to have modelling gigs, but I am too old for that now. My boyfriend was born here (37M). I moved in with him pretty quickly; he owns his house and earns $150 K per year. We have been living together for two years; I am madly in love with him. As I am from South America (my mom is like that ), I do things like, washing his clothes, cooking for him every day, cleaning after him etc. Not because he asks me to but because I Know he works too hard, and I want to help. Anyways, he asked me to pay him weekly rent before I moved in and I said yes because I thought it was fair. I know it wouldn't be like that in my country. I pay him $200 per week. Lately, I have been feeling a little bit uncomfortable. I haven't been in my country for four years, and I have no friends here, but a friend of mine from back home told me she thinks it is very unfair to me. What do you think? Is a cultural thing? thanks
