Reaching out to someone you've already rejected due to bad timing

A couple months ago, I was just doing my thing, going on 1, maybe 2 dates a week, most of which went nowhere. After two dates with Anne (names are fake), I realized I was pretty into her, and that she was into me too. However, I'd recently also gone out with Beth (both first dates had been arranged a week or so in advance, before I'd met either of them). Beth messaged me the day after our date asking if we could go out again.

Beth was great, but I also liked Anne, and things were a little further along with her and I wanted to pursue things with her and I get anxiety over the notion of multidating. So I sent Beth (what I thought) was a very nice text where I told her that she was great, and I'd ordinarily be interested in seeing her again, but I'd gone on a couple dates with someone else and I sensed it going somewhere, I didn't want to multidate and I didn't want to waste Beth's time, thanked her for the nice date and wished her good luck. She never replied to this text.

Well, you guessed it - things didn't work out with Anne. Any chance I have another shot with Beth? How do I bring it up?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
