How do you move on? When you've been someone for a decade and they reveal that they are a shitbag, how do you progress?

My ex of a decade revealed he dumped me via text because for A YEAR AND A HALF he'd wanted to get out of the relationship but he NEVER told me and pretended everything was fine and "I just didn't know how to tell you".

How do I move on from this betrayal? JFC.

"When our relationship got real, it stopped being as fun & it became that relationship that became 'this is where you pay all of the dues' " so he decided to end it but still couldn't. And then he just kept his feelings from me and lied until he texted me "I'm done". And now he has days where he's totally fine?

I just don't understand. Still. What?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
