Seeking advice - Potential "FWB" has HSV2

I recently connected with an awesome person. We get along great and one day things got physical. Just a heated make-out session and I received oral. The following week we texted a little bit and made our sexual desires for one another well known haha. After planning a date to meet up again and take things further, they informed me that before we engage in intercourse that I should know that they have HSV2. They're medicated and haven't had breakouts or symptoms for a long while. As well as them having unprotected sex with a monogamous partner for years and them not spreading the virus. It was all communicated to me properly and respectfully, but I am very unsure of how to go forward with things from here. It would strictly be a casual "friends with benefits" situation, not a lasting relationship. Which to me might not make it worth the potential risk. Is there anyone else who has gone through and might be able to share some wisdom. Not seeking an answer, just trying to gain more information from those who may have been in a similar situation.
