I've told others to tough up when their ego is bruised..but a recent date left me hurt too.

A few weeks ago I participated in a discussion on my local subreddit about how much OLD sucks. The result of that discussion was a woman pretty blindly asking me out. I said yes and it turned out that she was an amazing, beautiful, fun person. I took her to my favorite place in the city, and then to a dinner. We had, as far as I know, a great time.

The thing is, I have taken a job in another city and will be moving soon, so nothing was really ever going to come from it...

But in the days leading up we texted a bit and talked and had a good vibe going on. After the date? Nothing. Not a single response even to indicate she had a good time.

This was 2 weeks ago, and I'm still..hung up on it. I haven't texted her more than a single "I had such a great time." And to inquire about a job interview I knew she had the next day. But zero response. I'm not the type to hound someone who doesn't respond but... it just sucks.

I'm a really great guy, and I'm going to have a lot of fun in my next city, but I felt like we shared some really nice moments looking out over the city from high above in my favorite place and it really hurts that she didn't bother to just acknowledge she had a fun time. Maybe she didn't I guess.. but nothing about her attitude or body language during hte night suggested that something went wrong.

I'm so tired of the dating scene and this one really felt like a gut punch, even if it wasn't going anywhere, I don't understand why she couldn't be bothered to just tell me she had a good time in response.

I'm not going to reach out for her again, as much as I want to, she made it clear she doesn't want to communicate, but..shit does it suck to not seem to deserve the respect or courtesy of a response after a fun time.
