Should i keep trying or move on?

So there's this girl i got close to with work but i don't work with her anymore. I met her again through a mutual friend event about 6 months ago and asked her on a date to see some jazz band and she agreed. Unfortunately it hasn't happened yet. I asked her about 3 times when she would be free but kept getting a day before cancellations or an excuse.

I believed her and just told her to tell me when she would be free. Just to be safe if i was bothering her and left it at that. Fast forward to my birthday which was about 3 months ago, she messages me saying happy birthday and stuff and how we should catch up.

So we got lunch during her work break and it went really well. But afterwards i asked her to tell me when she would be free next because she told me once again, was busy for a 2nd date. So now i just stop messaging her but to be honest idk if its something i should pursue further or just call it quits.

I do really like her, she's a sweet and funny girl but i run a million scenarios in my head of what if's and its giving me a headache

What do you guys think? Should be blunt with her? Maybe a bit more patience? Maybe she's too shy with me or something. I'm completely hopeless

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
