Is it normal to go to a bar by yourself? Even on a weekend?

Not sure why but my circle of friends we only went to clubs growing up (16-25yrs old) and these kind of places you generally show up with your group. I’ve since moved away from this group in pursuing my career. I’m in a city now where I currently only know a few people and we don’t hang out all the time.

Is it normal to show up at a bar alone? Also weekends kind of suck for me right now, I’m use to having a group to go out drinking with on weekends. It it normal to hit a bar alone even on a weekend ?

Since I don’t have a group to go out with all the time, having trouble meeting women my age in this new city. Guess I could cold approach just out and about but that always felt awkward to me. In a venue with alcohol being served is my comfort zone where I can approach people confidently.

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
