App Dating, When Do You Exchange Numbers?

So I have recently started dating via the apps (Hinge) and as a general rule I'm not giving out my phone number until meeting in person. Thus far I've been on two separate dates both of which I thought went okay, but not amazing. The first one he didn't ask for my phone number but like I said it went okay so after a couple days I messaged him and sent him my number like here you go if you're interested...he was not. Now the second guy, again went okay but he didn't ask for my number. It has been almost week should I bother sending him my number or just assume that if we don't exchange after meeting in person that he's not interested? What has been the experience of other app daters?

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
