Is it okay to move in with a friend?
I’m (18f) desperate to leave my current living situation and my friend (21f) who has a child (5) is also looking for somewhere else to live. I brought up the idea to her and she was really excited because we both have the same interests and get along very well. She’s responsible with her money and, pays all of her bills on time .The only issue is that she uses hard drugs occasionally and recently got out of an abusive relationship with a guy who overdosed in her living room (he’s alive the last time I heard). I really like her and want to leave but I’m having second thoughts about how well the dynamic would work between us if we were to live together. I’m imagining some scenarios where I might have to drop her kid or pick him up from school but I’d be okay with that. Is moving in with her a red flag or should it be okay in the long run? Should I find a roommate I don’t know too well?
