While sleeping over my best friends[18M] house I[18M] mistook signs from the girl[18F] I liked and made the wrong move.

This happened earlier this summer, and some minor facts have been changed to protect the identities of the people involved

This has to do with 3 people my best friend Juan[18m], his Cousin Esmeralda[18F] and Me[ 18M]

I spend alot of time at my friend Juans house. He is Cuban, so he has some extremely hot family members. I have a huge crush on one of his cousins.

One day during the summer, there was a pool party so a whole gang of us decided to stay over his house. That night, while listening to music, Esme and I had a slow dance, I thought it was a moment and she liked me too.

While watching tv, Esme asked could she put her feet on my lap, she fell asleep. I stayed and fell asleep on the couch with her. I woke up a few hours later.

She was still asleep with her feet in my lap. And the livingroom was deserted. I decided this was my chance. I laid down behind her on the couch, and put my arms around her.

She kind of scooted her butt into me, she had on these little silk boxer things, so I could feel everything. So immediately little man was awake and ready to go.

I was an idiot btw.

I thought that the little booty scoot she did was her way of telling me that she was down(it wasnt).

I started feeling her up and kissing the back of her neck while simultaneously grinding on her. This must have went on for like a minute, but I felt like it was much longer.

She did her booty scoot again, to me it was like she was joining in on what I was doing.

Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I pulled my pajamas down, and slid her shorts to the side.

I "went for it". As soon as I did, she squealed and jumped up. She said wtf are you doing, she punched me, and called me a perv.

She went to the other room, left me to sleep on the couch alone. She told all my friends that I tried to touch her in her sleep. I tried to defend myself by saying that she was totally into it. (I actually said, "She asked for it".)

My friends have called me Rapey Reese for the rest of the summer. Also I found out that when she punched me, she put a hairline fracture in one of my teeth. My mom said its gonna cost 2k to fix.

After it happened, I waited for a chance to apologize. But Esme hasnt come back. Juan said that she didnt feel comfortable at his house anymore and it's my fault. He forgave me for the whole thing, and I found out that Esme never actually told anyone what really happened. I told Juan what I actually did, and that I thought that she was awake and into it, but was just wrong. After he got done laughing at me, he said that he would see what he would do about smoothing things over with her.

Since then, Esme wont return my texts and she blocked me on social media. She is completely ghosting me. That was at least, until today. Juan came through for me. He told her that there was a family emergency and she needed to come to his house. Juan made it clear that this would be my last chance, and to say whatever I need to because it wont work a second time.

When Esme got there, and saw that it was a trick she was pissed. She was going to leave right away, but Juan said something to her in spanish, and she said she would give me 3 minutes to say my piece and she would leave.

I started of my telling her that I was sorry. She knew though, she saw the 150 texts. I told her that what I did to her was a horrible mistake. That I really like her and I mistook my own feelings and the situation as something it clearly wasn't, and I understood if she never forgave me. And what I said after was stupid, and I only said those things because I was embarrassed.

She started to cry, Esme said that she liked me for the longest time. She said that facing me she didnt know how to feel. She said that she had never been with a guy before, and because of my "mistake" I stole that first experience from her. She said that she had thought about sharing that experience with me, but I ruined it. She said that she didnt even tell anyone everything that happened because she was too embarrassed and even after everything she didnt want to hurt me.

At that point I was crying too. I was down on the floor, sobbing telling her how sorry I am. And how I would never purposely hurt her or any girl like that. And that if I could take it back I would.

She said that I cant take it back, and he had a few weeks to think about it. She admitted that she still has feelings for me( I told her I did too), but she doesn't know if she can ever forgive me for what happened. She said also that she was going to rejoin our friend group, because she didnt do anything wrong, and isolating herself from everyone was only punishing herself.

As for "us", she decided that she would stop ignoring me. But she doesn't know if things will ever be back to the way they were. She also said that she wouldn't tell anyone the true story, and she hoped that I would keep it to myself also.

Before Esme left, she said that I needed to stop pushing so hard. If I like her like I say I do, I would give her time.

So my question is this, How do I act around he now? I still really like her. She said that she also likes me, but now its complicated. I dont want to make her uncomfortable. But I dont know if just being around is gonna do that. Is there a way for me to show her that I am kind of in love with her without pushing her, or screwing things up any further? Juan Also let me know that I am on a short leash with the whole crew now, and if they ever find out what really happened I am probably fuxked. I dont know what I should do next.

TL;DR I thought the girl I liked was giving signals and grinding on me, but she probably wasn't, and i took things way too far and now she hates me. Plus I have a cracked tooth.
