I(M 31) was dating a girl(F22) for 5 weeks. But suddenly she changed completely.
Hello Reddit, I'm using a throwaway because of reasons and because english is not my native language. ,
She was working in our Company during her summer job. I was working with her for 2 weeks. During this time we talked about a lot of stuff. It turned out that we had a lot in common. At on point i thougt about asking her out. But there was this age gap of 9 years betwen us. So i ditch it. But on her last day she gave me her number. So after work i texted her and we made some plans for the weekend.
Honestly I did not expect much. I dont know why but I had that feeling that this first date will be over after 1 hour. But our first date lasted for 9 hours. And the age gap was no problem for her. During this time she told me that her last relationships went to quick. She wanted to approach things slower this time. I was fine with this too. During those 5 weeks everything went well. Last Saturday was even better. It was all different than the ones before. You could tell by the hug and the kiss. They were better than before.
On Mondays she wrote me because she wanted to see the new IT move. That I should look up which cinema we could go. So i texted her back after work. But I only got an answer from her after 5 hours. Something has happened she will call me tomorrow. I waited almost a day before I asked her if everything was ok. She did not want to talk about what happened. The only thing she told me is. She liked that time we spent together but her school starts soon again and she just wants to concentrate on it. After some back and forth. She told me that she would like to see me again and would like to stay in contact with me. But she need more time.
I slowly notice the effects of the daily pondering. I would like to wait another 1-2 weeks. Then ask if she would be ready for a chat. Either she got cold feet or I did something wrong. She has been the first person I have felt so good for a long time. I'm not sure what to do next. Are there any chances left? Has any of you already had experience with such a situation?
TDLR: I met this wonderful woman. But after 5 weeks she suddenly changed and I don't know what to do.
