I made out with a Gay guy?

(F20) I went to a make out party at my friend's university. Not too sure how common those are nowadays but it was just a regular house party where you can ask people if they want to make out with you- Self explanatory.

Although I visit this friend at their college a lot & I'm familiar with a handful of their friends, I noticed this very attractive male I've never seen before while dancing. I should mention this was also the night I kissed anyone ever for the first time. So I'm obviously inexperienced and every kiss/make out that night felt very overwhelming (in a good way) Especially when I kissed this guy.

After making out with one person already, I get the courage to ask if he wants to kiss and he accepts. I lead him away from the dance floor, and we start making out. I parted for air at one point, and he started to kiss down my neck. He kissed/nibbled on my neck & chest a bit before we start kissing again and eventually stop. Later that night, I find out from my friends that he's gay & not into girls.

This left me a little bewildered because I thought our encounter was pretty hot? I know making out with a girl/guy doesn't immediately change your sexuality. Could he have just been experimenting, then? It felt really good on my end, but now I'm left wondering if it was just as enjoyable for him. Was he even attracted to me or did he just kiss me for the sake of the party? He was definitely the best person I made out with that night so I think that's why I'm so hung up on it. I guess I didn't know how common it was for gay guys to kiss girls?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
