Fiancé’s(M28) ex coworker revealed she had a crush on him. They won’t stop talking... am I wrong?

Hello, just wanted to get a sanity check. Am I wrong for wanting my fiancé to stop talking to this girl for good? They have worked together for 4 years and in different states. They did meet in person a total of 3 times, the last meeting being just them 2 with no other coworkers. I didn’t want him to meet up with her alone because I already had a gut feeling she was up to no good. At this point she had quit the company they both worked at but she wanted to meet up. My fiancé did let me know that nothing happened between them it was just friends hanging out, she showed him around the city and that was it. Fast forward about a week or two after they met in person, she sends him a text and tells him she has feelings for him. She knows we are engaged yet still decided to let him know how she feels about him even though she has a boyfriend. The day after she revealed this, they both kept talking. Its obvious my fiancé has not made it clear enough that he isn’t interested in her because they continue to talk. He let her know they can continue to be friends. When she sent him the message of her feelings, he did let me know about it. I do appreciate the honesty and we did discuss it. However the Following day I find out they are still talking. This pissed me off because after something like that I figured he would stop and she’d get the hint he isn’t interested.

Her last message was something along the lines that she enjoys talking to him and she can go on for hours and to let her know when he is available to talk. Pretty much wanting more attention from him. According to him, he does not initiate the conversations. She is the one who messages him but he does go along with it.

By no means am I putting the blame on just her, my fiancé is a mutual participant in this. I am upset that he continues to talk to her even though it’s making me uncomfortable. I don’t want to be controlling and force him to block girls in general because I’ve never had to do that. But I feel disrespected that he is not putting a stop to it either. I think that if he continues to talk to her, he will be leading her on which is wrong. So I want him to block her because she’s not going to get the hint he is not into her. She lives in a different state so not really sure how this “crush” came about. Was she expecting my fiancé to leave his life here to go with her? We’ve been together for 9 years and have 2 fur babies.

Am I in the wrong here? Am I being controlling? I wouldn’t mind if they talked once a month, basically just a casual hello hope things are ok and that’s it, a quick catch up as friends do. But the way she is going about it I don’t like and my fiancé is not really helping. He says it’s rude if he ignores her messages and doesn’t want to burn a bridge due to the industry he is in.

TL;DR: fiancé’s excoworker has feelings for him. They continue to talk even though I’ve let him know I don’t feel comfortable with it. Should he block her?
