Would it be rude or sweet if I asked my cousin if I could perform a song I had written for her birthday?

I'm 17 (guy) and my cousin is 20. Her birthday is in less than two months. I play electric guitar, and I also sing (though I do it horrible, like when I was celebrating my aunt's birthday and sung happy birthday, my cousin laughed kinda hard, though I was at least happy I made her laugh) and I was thinking of writing her a song that I could perform on her birthday. It'll be about her, how smart, ambitious and sweet she is, and stuff like that. Would it be rude however if I asked her to perform it? Because I'm afraid of her saying "of course not" or something since I'm not a professional musician. I've only been playing guitar for almost three years and didn't start writing full songs until last September. Or do you think she would appreciate it and think I was sweet for doing it? She did call me cute once when I told her what each letter in her name meant, like smart, ambitious and happy. I felt really, really happy that day.

TL;DR Would it be rude or sweet if I asked my cousin if I could perform a song I had written for her birthday?
