What is the best way to bring up dating other people to a casual partner?

I(F29) have been seeing a man(33) casually for 2 and a half months. While we really like each other and have great chemistry it seems as though we have fallen into a situationship. We cuddle all night and are very lovey dovey with eachother. All the sweet kisses and deep emotional talks.

Well other than deciding on sexual exclusivity we haven’t labeled anything. I’d like to be his girlfriend but I’m not really in a rush and I’m confident enough that it wouldn’t shatter my world if he didn’t want that.

So here’s my dilemma, I have been talking to someone that wants to go out on a date this week and I want to.. now I know that my situationship is casual but I kind of feel bad. Should I inform my initial partner about my date since we are so intimate with each other? And if so, what should I say? I don’t want to hurt his feelings.
