Don't believe a woman that height doesn't matter, got cheated on

I'm a 5'4 guy and very briefly I dated a 5'0 woman. She told me that height doesn't matter, but a couple weeks after meeting her she cheated on me. I kind of knew something was up because whenever we were together she would always be texting on her phone. She had cheated on me with a 6'2 guy and they slept together multiple times. I asked her if my height had mattered to her, but she said not it didn't when she actually cheated on me with a tall guy. I asked her if she was talking with anyone, but she said it was just a "friend." I knew she cheated on me because I had looked at her phone briefly when she was in the shower and saw all these messages of her wanting to spend the night with this guy. I'm not surprised, because a lot of short women told me that they like "bigger" guys so i'm not surprised this happened to me. I don't think i'll ever truly trust a woman that says height doesn't matter anymore. You never know what can really happen

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
