How do you bring up what the person you are dating intentions are ?

So I have been dating this guy for a month and we have hung out basically every weekend . I really like him but idk what he is looking for because we haven’t talked about that yet ( neither of us brought it up ) . He’s been super helpful because when my car broke down he came& helped me towed it . However after our first meetup I noticed that he texts less but always reply when I text him ( which I rarely do since we are both busy unless if it’s for plans ) anyways I saw him last week and we kissed for the first time and it was super intense.we cuddled and he just stared intensely into my eyes & held hands as he called me gorgeous & just gazed at me intensely as I played with his hair .the kiss was very intense and strong because we were both getting turned on but I wasn’t ready and I was on my monthly due so I told him I wasn’t ready to have sex which he respected and just kept feeling me up and cuddling. I asked him how he felt about it and his response was that “ it wasn’t that serious “ to me not being ready for sex so idk what he is thinking and if he meant that in a bitter way . He is very reserved & doesn’t talk much so idk what he is thinking . However , I don’t know if he’s looking to hookup or genuinely interesred in getting to know me . I met his mom and he talks about his family & friends to me . He even told me “ that’s you “ when we were watching a movie and the character was saying he had found the most beautiful perfect girl . But anyways I have been the one initially texts ( every 2-3 days in reponse to his last ) and idk how to bring up what he is looking for . I also tried to dirty talk with him by mentioning the butt massages he gave me made my bum bigger and asked what else he was good at and his response was “ a lot of things “ which totally killed the mood for me & I still haven’t responded . He works a lot so his responses have 2-3 hours late which I understand but idk if I am overthinking it to him not liking me as much anymore

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
