Do girls secretly take pictures of guys they like?

I've been told I'm a really good looking guy. Women often look at me, grab my biceps and my forearms. I also catch them staring at my chest when they think I'm not looking.

A week ago I was at a mall. I dressed and looked my best and got lots of looks. I'm in my early 20s and there was a girl who was about 18 or 19. She was walking with her family. She got her phone out and had it in front of her like she was going to take a selfie. Her phone was perfectly in line with her face and she was walking very close to me. I wasn't moving as I was looking around.

Her facial expression was just unnatural like she was trying to hide something. She then turned the camera to my face. It was there for like 2 seconds and then she moved it away and carried in walking on. There was no way she could have got a picture of anything else but my face. The camera was just took close.

I didn't see her screen so I can't definitely say she took a picture of me. It did seem like it as she had the camera pointed right at my face and there really wasn't anything to take a picture of.

My question is: Do girls take pictures of guys they like? If so then why? What are they doing with them?

I swear I'm not trying to be arrogant or anything with this post, but it was really strange when it happened.

TL:DR: I think a girl took a picture of me because she thought I was attractive. Is this something girls do and if so why?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
