My girlfriend is upset I said she tastes like sweat.

Exactly what the title says. My girlfriend made a passing joke about the way I tasted referring to when she gives me oral. She told me I tasted salty and bitter. Then she asked what she tastes like, and in my honest opinion she just kinda tastes like sweat. Not like body odor, or anything gross, I should add that I clarified this. Just sweat. She was quite upset with me and when I kept asking her what the issue was she just kept telling me she shouldn't have to explain and to do some research. I understand that on the surface it could seem like I was saying it was like gross body odor, but that wasn't what I meant. Am I being awkward and unaware or is she perhaps insecure?
