I think I gave it away to my mom earlier today that I’m gonna have sex later

I (17M) have been dating my girlfriend (18F) for two years. We’ve been sexually active (some oral, touching) but we’ve never had full intercourse. We are going to later tonight though. She’s got the IUD but I’m still gonna bring condoms just because the safer, the better. We’re going on a date beforehand but our first time is gonna be in the car because nowhere else to go. My girlfriend prefers smooth pubes so I planned on shaving. I did not have any shaving cream left so I asked my mom if I could borrow hers. She asked what for and I said “Uh to shave?” She gave me a funny look but she lended me the shaving cream. A little after that, when I had got out the shower, she said “The only thing you really shave is your armpits and your beard, and you already shaved those a week ago.. Just saying.” I didn’t answer her because I was confused on the point she was trying to make but now I realize that she knew why I wanted to shave because I’m gonna be out with my girlfriend later. Do I talk to her and let her know we plan on being safe or do I just not say anything? I don’t want her to feel like, disappointed now or anything. So awkward
