Why do men want to be in a relationship?

Yeah, I know many men want sex but I mean they can have casual sex without any strings.

Despite from sex, what do they hope out of a relationship? I feel like a relationship is more for women because they hope they will meet their charming princes--who will be their emotional support, understanding them, their best friends, and etc. They want very romantic nights with candles and roses. Women generally like romantic comedy movies.

Men are emotionally weak and they don't really talk to their friends about their feelings. They often bottle up their feelings. They are usually into action movies, sports, and so on. Well, yes they may want to have a hot girlfriend to show off to their buddies but they aren't teenagers anymore. I talk about men who want a serious relationship. Wait...if they are into superhero movies, I guess they want to be someone's hero? Lol.

I mean I notice men want women who love them for who they are, make them laugh, support them, and so on. Same things women want... I notice they would have their favorite couples from movies... They still got romantic feelings... How? I mean men are usually tough and stoic. They would watch action movies, sports, and etc. I still feel like a relationship is mostly for women but why do men want a relationship, apart from sex?

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
