How do I start talking to a girl I am unfamiliar with?

Hi all, I (20M) have been lurking in this subreddit for a few days now and I think I’d like some advice on what I should do. I am a pretty shy person when it comes to relationships so I don’t think it’s gonna be easy for me, but I don’t mind trying anyway.

So a few weeks ago, my friend got invited to a karaoke with his colleagues at his workplace for his internship while we were having dinner. Coincidentally, I didn’t bring my keys out (me and my friend stay together) so my only option was to tag along. After meeting his colleagues, there was this really cute girl (20F) from the same school who I met and I think it’s one of the rare occasions where I felt a connection and I was kinda comfortable with her (although still shy, didn’t talk too much which I regretted so badly). We briefly introduced ourselves, and started singing and drinking for a few hours. Since then, I haven’t seen her but she has been on my mind for a while now and I’m pretty sure I have a crush on her.

I told my friend that I found her cute a while ago, and apparently he told her last week and she replied that I was pretty cute too. I have her whatsapp but I don’t know how I should start initiating a conversation. I’ve been debating whether I should ask my friend for her instagram, or should I just ask my friend to introduce me to her formally? Now we’re back in school and I haven’t run into her yet since we’re in different faculties, so I’m a little bit undecided on how I should actually let her know of my feelings? Does anyone have any advice on my situation?

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
