Socioeconomic class differences and problems
My wife and I both 21, have been married for almost 3 years. Yes very young I know. She was a foster child and I came from a upper middle class. Our upbringings and socioeconomic class differences have been a topic is some trouble. Differences in friend groups, how we each view money, our expectations of living environment, how we plan to raise children, etc. She is very much a country hippie type of girl, at least that's what she wants to identify as and make her lifestyle like. The reality is that she is a northern yankee Michigan/ Midwestern/ southern girl. She has a problem with how I view money and the priority it has over the decision on the things we buy. She is stating she wants to live in a trailer park, she is very adamant about this. I would want better for my children if we are ever to have any. She says that she would not feel at home in any house or apartment, but only feel home in a double wide trailer in some small one horse town. Im not sure what to do I do not want to live in a double wide trailer, I want better for myself and our children I'd we should have any. I am in a field we're we would be middle class and afford an apartment or rent a small house and start family, but she doesn't want that lifestyle. I am having trouble understanding this. Any and all help and explanation will be appreciated, thank you!
