Unsure if she's wanting to be more than friends.

A lot of people having been asking lately if there is something going between my friend and I. Asking if we're dating or hooking up or whatever. And I've had people speculate that she likes me. I'm 30 and she's 27. We have been hanging out every weekend now for a couple months, and like every other weekend before that for a couple more. We're both part of the same friend group, so we hangout with that group but also hangout one on one. She has a nickname she calls me by and tells me she loves me and I say it back. She's a great girl, got her shit together, attractive, and we have fun together. We haven't slept together or kissed or anything, we're flirty a bit but it's stayed friendship level. All these people asking has been getting thinking about if there is something more there. But also I don't really know how to ask because that's such a fine line. If there isn't I'd be cool and still talk and hangout with her just as much, I just don't wanna be missing out on something with a good person. So how should I ask? Should I even ask? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
