Does it make sense that I have a much harder time cumming if in a sitting leaned over position during mutual masturbation? [M]

i recently got into mutual masturbating with my gf as an alternative to sex sometimes and its pretty good but if we do it sitting together with her legs over mine sort of scissoring almost I take forever to cum and sometimes don't. does this make sense as a limitation? Recently I've been leaning back from this position almost laying down and having more success. When I masturbate alone I'm always laying down so it may be that I'm just not used to sitting and masturbating. Anyway not sure if anyone can relate but I dont have this problem in any other position so thought there was something to it.
