Do girls and guys view sex the same way?

Hooking up benefits women mostly, right? They can get laid super easily compared to guys. Most guys struggle to get laid, and in this modern dating world which is essentially all about using each other for sex, average guys get left out. Girls seem to enjoy the hookup culture a lot, and choose hookups with guys over steady relationships and monogamy. Even if the guy is super hot, sex is the main reason girls are with guys today in any capacity - in my limited opinion.

I often here that girls ARE NOT into casual sex as much as guys are. That girls tend to wanna have sex with guys they have feelings for. I don’t see how this is true, as girls hookup so much. But if we think about: when the world was a “Mans World” so, up until 1960s... minimally ruled. People waited until marriage and most people only had sex with one person. Very vanilla sex too. And since the SEXUAL REVOLUTION, which was created by women I think, promoted and created the hookup culture which we now live in. Women literally made the hookup culture! So they just think pretty similarity to us, when it comes to sex, right? I’m not saying this is fact but just think about it. The hookup culture was created by women and it sustained and tribes because of women. If every girl said “Stop! We’re going back to 1940’s dating, wait for marriage for sex type stuff” the hookup culture would die. That’s just what I think anyways. But it’s clear women want the world to be more sexual.

Sex for guys is mostly physical. I don’t know too much, as I’m a virgin but it’s basically just about railing hot girls as it feels good and also boosts your ego to bed a lot of women. It’s kinda like a sport for most guys I think, but again I could be wrong. Girls seem to have caught up now though, and treat sex the same. Do they really?

Girls seem to be quite promiscuous now. Perhaps more than guys even!? I just don’t get how girls and guys can see sex differently when they essentially started the hookup culture and do it so much. That’s what I don’t get but I’m completely open to correction. If I’m wrong about anything let me know. I wanna grow and understand sex better.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
