Airbubble when putting on condom?

Hi, so I'm a virgin guy (18) and I've bought some condoms some time ago to "try on" and see whether regular is my size.

First I put them on inside out, but got it down with the second one. I noticed that after I put it on, the semen collection tray (i think thats the name that's written on the box, you know the tip) is filled with air.

I was wondering whether that's supposed to happen or not, if not How do I put it on so that it doesn't happen and could it pop or be damaged during sex?

(Also bonus question is a condom completely ineffective or less effective when put on inside out?)

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.
