My boyfriend wants to hook up with other people because I have more experience than him

My [20f] boyfriend [22m] says he at some point wants to take a break and hook up with people because I did in the past (before I knew him) and he never did. He was pretty inexperienced before he met me, I took his virginity but I’ve slept with a few people. He says he feels like he missed out on something that I got to experience. Normally I’d say fuck no and get the hell out of the situation but I really love this guy. I’ve never felt this way about anyone and I’ve never been so comfortable around or happy with anybody. So I told him if it makes him feel better he can, even though it makes me feel like absolute shit that he wants to do that. I show him so much love, he’s the number one person in my life, id go to the ends of the earth for him. I understand that he wants to experience sleeping with other people but at the same time I can’t see it from his point of view because he’s the only person I want and even if we weren’t together I don’t see the appeal in sleeping with random people. He’s also bothered that I slept with people before I met him and it seems unfair to compare that to him sleeping with people while we’re on a break from a serious relationship. That just seems a lot worse and more hurtful to me. I don’t know exactly how to feel about this really, but I want to make it work and if him hooking up with others is what it takes I will put aside my emotions and let it happen.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
