What does the average hookup look like?

I've never hooked up with anyone before but I have a second date with this great girl coming up and want to make sure I'm ready in case things head that way. I realize that I can never really be prepared and that I should just go with the flow, but knowing a general average sequence of events would help me out a ton!

I'm looking for as much detail as possible about the sequence of events in your average hookup. Stuff like, do you immediately undress or do you do it slowly usually. Do you touch each other under the clothes before taking them off or wait? When do you get up and turn off the light or get a condom, etc.? Do you start going at it as soon as you get through the door? I'm guessing nothing will happen since it's only the second date but I feel like I should be safe.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
