Mouth kissing - why no tongue

Hello. I've been dating ladies lately who are lip smushers. and I dont mean labia smushing. I mean mouth lips. Like kissing with zero tongue. Like sometimes I try to get my gentle and very dextrous tongue near the entrance of their mouths and I am hitting teeth. Constantly. Is this a thing? I'm a 33 year old guy with a bit of mouth experience among other things. I would throw it away as a fluke if it was 1 or 2 women but it's like at least 3 of them. recently. Please help this is my throwaway account.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
