Is he interested in me or is he just a friend?

So I have a group of friends which I always hang out with, in this group there is a guy who's feelings I'm not sure of. We always hang out in this group, never just the two of us. We have been friends for quite some time, but lately I've noticed that something might have changed.

He is a very kind and generous person, never says no. Often helps people, always have a smile on his face, But somehow when he looks at me it feels different, we often meat each others eyes if someone makes a joke or we start to laugh. If I disappear from our group of friends, he often looks for me and checks quickly if I'm okay. He noticed once that I was cold and gave me his hoodie. Our hands often touch when we exchange stuff, like cellphones, and he isn't uncomfortable with this touch. We text sometimes, send memes and such, and he often answers right away. But we don't text super much. Also there have been some other moments too which have wondering if he likes me more than a friend, but I rather not go into detail here since this post will be too long.

BUT now to the things that make me wonder IF he really likes me. Like he can mention what he likes in a girl, or how good looking a girl is and sometimes how he earlier liked a certain girl. He asks also what girls find attractive in guys.

He knows I'm crushing on someone, but doesn't know who.

Is it wrong of me or like bad that I said I'm crushing on someone?

And is there a possibility he might feel something for me?

How is the best way to show I like him? He said he has it hard to pick up signals if someone likes him, but I don't want to be too obvious, since I rather not take the first "big" step..
