Eating A Girl Out

So me and my GF have been sexually active for a while and we're both explorering sexually for the first time ever pretty much (except she had a headstart before we met). She loves giving me oral and I would love to give her it in return but the taste and even the smell makes me want to vomit (nearly did the first time). She says guys have eaten her out before so I think it could be a me thing since this is a first but at the same time I really don't think its supposed to smell that way. It doesn't upset her that I can't but I really want to pleasure her in all the ways she does me. She has a hormone imbalance and she started her period super late for a woman and I think this could be the cause somehow. Basically does anyone have any ideas or solutions to this problem?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
