Are there any women that have had a longitudinal vaginal septum? I have some questions about the removal process and IUDs.

I (F27) have a partial longitudinal vaginal septum that has never been a huge problem before, moreso an inconvenience. I have been able to use tampons with minimal leakage, but sex hasn't always been the most comfortable thing. When the doctors first discovered it they said that it was hardly noticable and that it would stretch out during sex so they didn't push for removal. I have gone years without having sex because birth control made me think I was asexual, and now that I'm thinking about getting back into things I'm a bit concerned that it may have tightened up too much. I'm also planning on getting a copper IUD soon and am curious if the septum could cause issues with that. Has anyone had a vaginal septum removed and did it make a big difference in how sex felt?
