Does she realise it's a date?

Hey so I'm a guy 22 who's interested in a girl 20. We've spoken a few times in person these past 2-3 weeks, usually at uni socials. She makes a lot of eye contact and laughs at everything I say, but will never initiate. She seems very nervous, often stands alone, and seems happy to talk whenever I approach.

Anyway, I texted asking if she wanted to come with me to a pub quiz. She said it sounds great and that she'd love to, but she won't be back until the 22nd. So I replied saying to let me know if she wants to do anything when she's back. She responded saying sure, let me know if you find any other fun events. This left me wondering whether she actually realised I asked her on a date. I have my suspicions that she might be gay too.

Am I overthinking this? Or do I need to explicitly say "date" next time I ask? I can't tell whether she realises I'm interested or whether she's just assuming I'm friendly.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
