My crush (16M) said he thinks he falling in love with me (17F)

I suppose this is more of a vent if anything because I need to get it off my chest and my best friend is busy at the moment l and my other friend doesn't give the best advice (sorry), so here we are. So I've been talking to this for around 3 months now, met him at volunteering in the beginning of November. We hit it off really well, and before he had to leave he asked for my snapchat. So we exchange our @'s, and our friendship took off from there.

We have only hanged out once so far (last weekend) because school and parents and he lives 30 minutes away and yadayada. We had a really good time though, cuddled, petted his dogs, and hung out with another one of his friends (I also fell down the stairs twice but anyway). Lots of things have happened, we've already talked about us being something but both agree we should wait until we hang out more before anything official happens. We also roleplayed once or twice (in a sexual way and he ended up uhhh finishing) but it hasn't happened since because he wants the real thing. He also asked for nudes but no lol, he was respectful about it anyway so it's all cool.

Anyways, I've began reading his favorite book series a few days ago because it's his favorite and it would give us something to talk about (plus I like reading so win-win), and I was venting to him about this one character who's literally such a manwhore so far (fuck you Mal!). Meanwhile he's just "mmmm"ing and "hmmmm"ing and taking screenshots of the rant and sending it to his friend but I didn't really mind because SOMEONE has to know how much of a dipshit that character was. Anyway, eventually I'm done ranting and he let's me go back to reading, and so I was until I get another message from him. He says something about how he finally met someone who could keep up with him in terms of texting (long paragraphs and then short rapid fire messages) and how he's falling hard, THEN says "I think I'm falling in love".

Now okay, this is snapchat and you know those little bitmoji things? As I'm trying to process all of this he sees my character typing and going down, typing and going down because my thought process was in shambles. Eventually, in all caps I just said I didn't know how to respond but added "THANK YOU YOU'RE REALLY CUTE". He said he was sorry but not really, and we talk a little more light-heartedly until I told him I'll go read some more and now I'm here.

TL;DR: Really like this guy, he said he might love me, I didn't say it back, and I don't know how to proceed. I'm thinking of just keeping things on a friendly level, some flirting of course (essentially talk to him like nothing has changed).

We are planning on hanging out this weekend though. Is it too late to mention that we are both inexperienced in dating? He has never dated anyone before, I haven't had a "real" relationship yet (no first kiss, no sex, no nothing). So haha. This is a little bit unorganized sorry! I don't necessarily know what answers I'm looking for, it was just something to get off my chest. As for school, thats not really an issue if we were to start dating because both of us keep our grades up and we can only hang out on weekends so its not much of a problem. Anyway, that's basically all!
