How to start casual conversations on Snapchat?

I’m relatively new to dating/trying to get to know people in a more involved way. I fair pretty well with talking to people in person. Online, mainly Snapchat, I’m fairly good at talking to my friends, but I don’t really know how to create a more casual conversation like feel on Snapchat with people I don’t know, especially girls.

I recently was at a party and met a girl that I am attracted to. We talked a bit and it seems like she likes me, as a person at least, maybe not as a potential date. But we seemed to talk just fine. I want to talk to her more and potentially go on a date or something, but this is not my area of expertise. My friends tell me to just have a normal conversation with her, but I don’t know how to start one well. In the past, I’ve tried, but I usually flop it because I just don’t present anything to actually start a real conversation.

How do I go about creating a conversation, that doesn’t feel extremely forced or awkward, and potentially getting to lead it into a date in the future?
