My opinion, based on my experience with one boy who was going to army training, a girl who was bittersweet and toxic, and I am now falling in love with someone who doesn’t like me back.

Love is a true journey in your life. Whether you experience it young or later, you know the feeling you get in your body when you look at the one you love. You feel a floaty happiness, as if you were flying. You know that there’s always a chance they won’t feel the same way. Yet, you still break down when they reject you. You can’t help it. But deep inside, although you know love can be happy, you also know that love has a dark side.

Even if you do end up with that special someone, you know that beginning sweetness never stays. The love of your life could be hiding their true self behind a mask, possibly planning on hurting you in the end. You may realize this, but this love was your dream. You stay with the problem because you know you should pursue your dreams, but instead it simply gives you stress and sadness. All because you just can’t possibly let go. Perhaps that special someone doesn’t consider you special at all, and attempts to replace you with what you view as a bitchy bimbo, whether for a night, or for the rest of their life. Yet, when you’re finally dumped, you can’t help but miss that awful person.

Still, love isn’t always bleak, you suppose. Love can truly be the dream you thought it would be. It could equal to an ice cream upon a summer’s day, or simply floating through the clouds in a wonderful daydream. Love can stem from anywhere, maybe from a best friend, love at first sight. Hell, perhaps even a hookup can result in beautiful love. Most of us want love, but not all of us get love because of society’s standards of a skinny blonde girl or a loud sports guy. Ace people can pave whatever path they want, and if they don’t want love, it’s fine. That’s simply life. If you feel hopeless, love won’t always leave you to die alone. Love will almost always take you on a beautiful path to finding the one.

Tldr: Love is unpredictable, hideous yet beautiful.
