In the beginning, when we first met, I knew there was something different about you. It started with the little things, from the way your hair rests perfectly on your shoulders to how honest your eyes sparkle. Humans by nature want things they can’t have and since the beginning I knew my chances with you were slim to none. As time passed, the more I got to know you the more I realized why I like you. You’re not afraid to speak your mind and as harsh as you can be you’re still gentle with every touch. You helped me get back up when I felt like I couldn’t anymore and even until this day it means so much to me. What you may consider insecurities or flaws I found the most beautiful about you. I can’t stress how absolutely gorgeous you are, from that endearing smile of yours to the way your heart talks to others, flawless. To me you’re a gem that needs to be reminded of their worth and it’s the mystery behind this masterpiece that keeps me attracted. You sparkled the brightest in the sea of stars and because of this you earned my trust. I know I can trust you with anything and everything about me. You’re comedic side gave me the push to share more about myself to others because like you, I have a hard time opening up to others as well. You remind me of hope, you make me laugh and make anything I found a negative fall apart. You reminded me that there’s more to this world than what’s dragging me down. When the time came when you wanted to be alone, I grew more interested because I wanted to help you find your happiness as much as I want to find my own. It was the support you showed me up to this point that even you may not have realized. I want to return everything you make me feel and that is the core as to why I like you. You never made me question my own self-worth, you’re an amazing friend, you support the things I’m passionate about, you treat me as an equal and you respect my values. And as much as you questioned why I liked you to others, I just wanted to be the one to always answer and remind you of the beauty that makes up who you are.

The difference between being right and being understood

My boyfriend and I are 28. We’ve been together for about 1.5 years and recently moved in together. He’s a pretty patient and easygoing person (Type B) whereas I’m more particular (Type A). My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones. I was pressed beyond my comfort zone and went with it because of my affection for her.
