Can relationships from dating apps be genuine?

I’ve dated a person from a dating app, but I feel as though that the attraction isn’t genuine, because it starts from both people looking for a relationship, not the “I met this person they’re rly fun” type and it develops into friendship then transitions into a relationship. For dating apps, it’s more like I want to date and he/she matched with me so I’m gonna see how it works, y’all know what I mean?
