Need a last minute date!!

This is going to be extremely long but my friends advice is super vague rn!

So my sorority has our semi formal social tomorrow night, and all of my friends currently have dates. Before i give details i just want to preface..

I’ve gone to socials without a guy every other time and have a BLAST! Semi is a bit more of a ~bring a date/guy~ thing so it would be least awkward to go with someone! I’ve also never had a date before to a social so like why not!?

Anyways, this weekend is also my schools homecoming so going to a semi themed social isn’t really that attractive of an invite... I asked my guy friend 3 days ago and he said he was really sick but he would let me know. I messaged him 4 hours ago asking again and it still hasn’t been opened.. so i’m taking that as a no! (no sweat, i get it!) But I’m left in a tough spot now on who to ask/go with.

I have a few options left to ask, one is my “friends” ex, an old hookup that ended weirdly but on good terms, and be set up with a friends friend.

My “friends” ex is a decently good friend of mine now. My “friend” kinda went MIA for the past 3 months, that was led up to with her never showing up to plans/responding. Her and this guy were pretty serious 2/3 years ago but it’s 100% over and she’s with someone new. I saw him about a month ago and we said we would go to each others socials with each other if we ever needed a date! but i don’t know if “girl code” still applies, since i’m not exactly sure how the nights going to end. I don’t want to hurt her but she also kind of disappeared. He would also be really fun to go with and Id probably be the most comfortable with him out of my options now!

Old hookup on good terms now- this is a weird one but long story short: we hooked up, he was paranoid i was pregnant for 3 months after, on good terms now... I think he’d be fun to go with too but it could be a bit awkward considering the past/ if he brings that up. We haven’t hung out in about a month too.

Friends friend- this is honestly what i feel pretty uncomfortable with but maybe i just have to put myself out there? It would be strictly friends which is fine but the thought of having to stay with someone I’ve never really hung out with before for the whole night seems a bit awkward. I met him briefly last weekend, and he seems like a good guy, but something about it seems weird to me lol

I’m really excited for tomorrow and worst case I’ll go solo and have fun, but I want to at least ask someone else so I know it was meant to be that way!

This is super long (sorry!!) but any advice on who I should ask? Is my “sick” friend even going to respond? or advice on how to fly solo for the night is much appreciated (and needed!!) (:

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
