How exactly do I put myself "out there"?

I (20M) have never really had any experience with dating. I do not use social media, as most accounts that I've made have simply gathered dust over the years. My workplace is heavily male dominated, and most of my hobbies are either enjoyed independently or with my core group of freinds (all male, and scattered across the states as we seperated after highschool). I have tried to use tinder/bumble on a few occasions, yet I always stop after a few weeks as every match seems like I'm talking to a wall.
