My ex popped up uninvited at my house, I almost fell for his game (again).

Haven’t talked to my ex (I blocked him) in 3 months. We ended pretty badly with him owing me 2k for a car I was selling to him. I “repossessed” it only to find out it had been wrecked. I was DONE!

Two Fridays ago, he pops up apologizing and claiming he felt he owed me for the car. Ok cool, said he would come back with cash (I stupidly unblocked him). Never showed back up. Didn’t hear from him until Sunday as he’s supposedly going back out of town for work (which he does do sometimes.) I’m like okayyyy well just let me know when you’ll be back. Now he wants to talk about us and getting back together and blah blah RED FLAG #1. Says he will be back in town the following weekend for a funeral and we will “talk” then.

Last Friday, he informs me he is back in town. I have prior events booked so I’m not available but let him know I will be on Saturday & Sunday. If anything just bring me the cash I’ll even meet you LOL. He says ok and will let me know what time. Radio Silence AGAIN. I don’t hear from him until Monday and now all of a sudden he’s headed back out of town again.

Reality hit me and I realized that he was doing the exact same thing we would argue about while together. Expecting me to be on his time, wait around, lie and stand me up. I honestly believe he never was out of town, and just wanted to mess with my head and see if I was willing to forgive him. He probably had no intentions of ever paying me either. Today I ended up telling him off and asking him to never contact me, don’t show up to my house anymore and blocked him again.

I can’t believe I actually entertained the idea and didn’t just slam the door in his face. But I’m proud of myself at the same time because now I have closure knowing he hasn’t changed and now I can let him go for good and set myself free!

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
