Dating while working (F27)
I work in a very demanding job, where I travel a LOT and am in a very male-dominated field (catastrophe adjuster). Like I won't see a female coworker for months kind of job. I deal a lot with contractors and roofers and construction guys.
Usually I'm working like a dog and have little to no time to do anything else, much less date. And I always feel funny about the idea of going on a date with someone I met through work, because I try to maintain very obvious professional boundaries. As a result I havent been on a date in 6 months and the last guy I did not meet through work.
On the very rare occasions that I do get asked out, I usually end up brushing it off. Obviously, the result is that I never go on dates anymore, or do anything with other people while working. Today a contractor asked me about 3 times to dinner/drinks/etc and while I didnt say no, I haven't said yes either.
This is a guy I'll see once professionally and then never again , so it's not like I work with him in the same company. Do I just need to loosen up? Am I too work-focused and deserve to have fun sometimes???
