Why do some younger girls have such high standards when they are literally nobodies?

I am all for standards. I think we all should have standards. But there is one thing I recently discovered. I decided to start going for it, but not going for the top girls. Because I am a realistic person I consistently go after 5/6/7 who are not that well known. Honestly, I was not sure if I would have success with this group or not but here is what I learned...

A lot of girls of these ages are semi-good looking, not very smart or passionate and at the time had nothing really going for them in life. Yet, they still would not go out to even hang out as friends or try to consistently talk with me. I ran across this one girl recently who literally told me multiple times, she spends all her days at home and has one or two true friends. I thought this girl was kinda cute and interesting so I thought, "I am just gonna go for it and ask to hang out, if she is looking for friends she cannot say no, right?". She technically did not say no. Instead, she ghosted me.

Many of you will say it is me. I am decently looking and my interactions with these girls are always solid right from that start. But it could be, I am not doubting that. But just something I realized is that a lot of these younger girls, who have nothing going for them in life, still put down men and will not even go out when the random opportunity occurs.

Is it their high standards? Or is it because they are young and clueless? Would love to hear all opinions not on my situation but on this idea/topic in general!
