First date in a long time. Help?
Ok so I’ve been away from dating for a long time now. My last relationship ended early on in highschool, and I’m now 23. I’ve just matched with someone on tinder and we’ve set up a potential date later on this week. It’s undecided where it’s happening, but seems like it’ll just be a night in somewhere chilling out with snacks and Netflix.
Some info about me is that I’m a very shy and introverted person. Once I get to know people I feel like I’m fine, but it’s getting past the initial meeting and ice breaking that I think is the toughest for me. I struggle to find things to talk about, and I hate awkward silences because I’m constantly trying to think of what to say.
Is there anything I should tell her to let her know I feel nervous, how I’m not sure about how things work, etc, thus making things less awkward, or will me saying this make things worse. Basically is there anything I can say that won’t ruin or worse, cancel the situation?
